No Day But Today

For those of you who don't know, my grandmother passed away a few weeks ago. She has been extremely sick for many years, and I am so happy that she is no longer in pain. I also know that she is with a loving and gracious Heavenly Father and is reunited with my grandpa and the rest of her family that passed on before her.

With that being said, Earthly life is such an odd thing for me to think about right now. As I was packing up my grandma's belongings to give to family members, charity, etc. I couldn't help but look at the pile of "stuff" in the living room and think that all of ones life can be packed away and shipped out in a few boxes. Soon, all of her material possessions will be gone and all that will be left are the memories. People who never got the chance to meet my grandma will never get that opportunity, and once those who were in her life also pass on, her memory will fade away.

As I started thinking about these things, I realized what I want to accomplish while I'm here on Earth. I want to touch as many lives as possible, and leave my mark for generations to come. I want to do things so amazing, that people won't forget me. They won't be able to forget me.

Friends, life is SO SHORT. We only have so long to make our mark on this world; and you SHOULD make your mark on this world. Life isn't about material possessions-- those can be packed up and shipped away. It's about the lives you touch, the people you help, and the things you do to make this world a better place.

I know that my grandma touched countless lives, raised amazing children, and helped raise some incredible grandchildren. She was an incredible wife, sister, and friend. She lived her life the best she could but I can't help but think of opportunities she may have never taken advantage of when she was younger...adventures she never took, people she never met, and a big world she never saw.

Don't wait until it's too late to decide to take advantage of every opportunity you have. Live life TODAY...there may not be a tomorrow.

LIVE your life! Take chances! Live your dreams! Make your mark on the world!

Hello Loves!

Tonight has been a really tough night for me. Tonight I heard that Talia Castellano was beginning her transition from this world to the next.

For those of you who don't know, Talia is a 13 year old professional Youtube Beauty Guru and has been fighting a cancer for six years now. Talia was first diagnosed with Stage 4 Neuroblastoma on February 14th, 2007. She was cancer free for 13 months, but relapsed in 2008. In 2012, Talia's cancer spread to her bones and she also developed pre-Luekemia. For the past five days Talia has not eaten and has only woken up to go to the bathroom or vomit. She is not giving up or quitting, but gracefully transitioning from this world, to the next. This is not the end for Talia, it is only the beginning of a beautiful eternity with her Heavenly Father.

Through all of the trials and tribulations Talia has gone through in her short life, she always remained such a positive force in the world. At only 13 years old she has touched more lives than many people well into their 80's have. She used Youtube, Twitter, Facebook, and other means of Social Media to connect and touch people from around the world. I am so blessed to have come across her on the Internet and I know that she has changed me for the best.

I pray that her heart is filled with peace, joy, and love during her last days on this Earth and that her family and friends are filled with that same peace as well.

If her family ever reads this, I want them to know that they truly raised an incredible daughter. She touched so many lives, inspired so many people, and touched anyone that was lucky enough to come in contact with her. I also pray that they know that this is not the end for Talia-- she is going to be in such a beautiful place, free of pain, and free to be the spunky, happy, and quirky girl she has always been. She will be with loved ones who have passed and she will once again be with her Heavenly Father. You will see her again and until then, I know she will be your beautiful angel looking over you.

Life on this Earth is such a precious gift and you never know when it will come to an end. Please, take a moment and tell those you love that you love them, call a loved one or friend that you haven't talked to in awhile, and treat the strangers you come in contact with with love and respect. Love each other. Uplift each other. Inspire each other.

The "Tattooed Mormon" Al Fox!

Greetings!

My oh my, it's been quite some time since I've posted! So, I was on Facebook today and was led to a video of a girl named Al Fox or "The Tattooed Mormon". I don't really know how I got to the video but clicking around on Facebook and randomly ending up on pages is kind of my specialty. ;-)

Anyway, I watched about four videos of her giving her testimony, and I was so moved by her! She has such a genuine & honest spirit about her and I really enjoy listening to her stories. Fast forward an hour and I've subscribed to her Youtube and followed her blog & Twitter.

Make Your Dreams Your Reality!

It's the second day of the year. What are you doing TODAY to ensure your dreams become your reality?


Hey Friends!

     In my last blog post I talked a bit about starting over, creating new goals or "resolutions" for the New Year, and let you in on some of my most important resolutions. Now that you've listed out the things you'd like to accomplish in 2013, what are you doing about it? It's great to have goals, but it's essential that you have a plan to accomplish them. In order to accomplish everything that you set out to do ask yourself daily, "What am I doing today to ensure that my dreams become my reality?". You should always be able to answer this question. If you can't, you know you need to do something!

Here's what I did today to ensure that my New Year's Resolutions are completed!

1. I prayed as soon as I woke up this morning & I will pray before I go to sleep. I forgot to pray before one meal, so I did it as soon as I remembered.
2. I joined Slim4Life and I've been sticking to my diet plan diligently!
3. I've posted a video and a blog post.
4. I complimented two people today.
5. I read five chapters of The Book of Mormon & The Bible.
6. I'm going to audition for a professional theatre company tomorrow.

There you have it friends. It may not seem like a lot, but as we complete these small daily goals we are adding to the bigger picture. By the end of the year all of these small daily goals we completed will have snowballed into some GREAT accomplishments!
